Assessment of Flood Areas and Other Risks
The SAMO-based solution serves to assess the risk for a specific location in a flood zone by quantifying it on the basis of the standard delimitation of flood zones. The application works with data layers: address points, structures, plot numbers, and data differentiating flood areas.
In this case, the solution is directly integrated with an application for drawing up insurance policies and can be used online when arranging insurance. When verifying the address point, employees concluding real estate insurance policies will automatically see the flood area assessment as a number next to the client’s address in the relevant form.
In addition to field workers, the system is also beneficial to call centre staff as the operators may use the modern web service to localise specific locations in the Czech Republic, quantify risks and respond promptly to clients’ inquiries.
