The electronic prescription in Slovakia, known as ePrescription, gained considerable popularity, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, as it allowed physicians to issue prescriptions without any physical contact with patients.
Asseco Central Europe provides a full-scale communication platform that collects ePrescriptions issued by physicians across entire Slovakia and subsequently, verifies their validity and information correctness. Prescriptions are written and issued in full cooperation with the systems of health insurance companies. Within this process, the control of the dispensed medication is automatically validated before its actual dispensing, which leads to significant savings, particularly in the area of duplicate prescriptions etc.
