The Health Insurance Companies Portal (HIC Portal) is an advanced software solution that has reliably served 6 out of 7 health insurance companies in the Czech Republic for over 22 years for communication with external partners. It was developed through the collaboration of the involved insurance companies, which has helped optimize development and operational costs.
Since its launch in 2002, it has been operated on the basis of selected data sharing, for instance, client information and certificates, while other data is managed separately by each insurance company. A key advantage of the HIC Portal is its exceptional stability and security. Throughout its 22 years of continuous operation in a 24/7 mode, there have been no outages, data compromises, or other operational issues, making it a reliable and long-term proven solution for the external partners of health insurance companies.
