Asseco’s IT Incubator Records a Record Number of Startup Applications
Bratislava, April 1, 2026 – Nearly one hundred startups applied this year to the fourth edition of the UpSteer incubation program, organized by the international IT company Asseco Central Europe. Applications are now closed, and ambitious early-stage companies will have another opportunity to apply next year. For the latest updates, organizers recommend following the program’s official website.
The fourth edition of the UpSteer incubator offers a six-month program for technology startups from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. It is primarily intended for early-stage companies operating in sectors such as finance, healthcare, utilities, Industry 4.0, public administration, ERP systems, cloud solutions, and infrastructure. The goal of the program is to help emerging entrepreneurs grow through mentoring, workshops, and strategic consultations.
“This year, we have recorded approximately a 100% increase in the number of startup applications compared to last year. We see this as a clear signal that young people have a strong interest in modern technologies, which may also be linked to the dynamic rise of artificial intelligence,” said Zuzana Fratričová, Project Manager of the UpSteer program.
“Winning UpSteer attracts the attention of investors to a startup. That’s why I would definitely recommend participating in this incubator to anyone who believes in their idea,” said Andrej Lilov, Chief Commercial Officer at Rewora, a company that successfully completed the program last year. “At the same time, specialists from Asseco across various fields continue to support us. Our credibility has significantly increased, which helps us with marketing and entering new markets,” he added.
Since 2022, UpSteer has supported several successful startups, including Appara, Daitable, Rewardly, and Rewora. Participants gain access to office space, investment opportunities, and partners completely free of charge.
