Asseco Central Europe celebrates 35 years: Anniversary marked by new global opportunities

Bratislava, 27 June 2025 – Asseco Central Europe, a technology leader in Central Europe, is celebrating 35 years on the market. The anniversary comes at a time of important changes and new opportunities – the company is strategically linking up with the Canadian group Constellation Software Inc. (CSI) through its European platforms Topicus.com and TSS Europe.
By signing a shareholder agreement (SHA) on strategic cooperation between TSS Europe and the Adam Góral Family Foundation, TSS acquires 24.83% of shares in Asseco Poland. The Adam Góral Family Foundation remains a significant shareholder with a 10.01% stake.
This key investment represents an important step towards strengthening international cooperation within the group. Asseco will retain its independence and continue to focus on dynamic growth and active mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
"We see Asseco's becoming part of Constellation Software – one of the largest and fastest-growing software companies in the world – as an exceptional opportunity. Our background in Central Europe has given us values, stability and the ability to solve complex challenges. Now we are gaining a strong partner with whom we can share know-how and gain new management and investment experience for further growth and professionalisation of our activities," said Jozef Klein, CEO of Asseco Central Europe and Asseco International.
From a local player to a global innovation leader
Since 1990, the company has undergone tremendous development. From a small technology unit, it has grown into a company with hundreds of projects across the public sector, healthcare, insurance and banking. Today, it employs more than 3,600 experts and operates in seven countries.
Asseco CE is already actively investing in AI solutions. The company sees artificial intelligence as a natural continuation of its technological mission – not as a threat, but as a tool to increase efficiency, decision-making accuracy and improve service quality.
‘We have decided to use artificial intelligence throughout the entire software development cycle. AI helps us to plan better, test automatically and understand client requirements more accurately, so we can deliver quality solutions more efficiently,’ emphasises Klein. "Artificial intelligence is not meant to replace human potential. On the contrary, if we use it correctly, we can speed up decision-making, open up new opportunities and make a technological leap that would otherwise take years."
According to Eurostat data, up to 78% of large companies in the EU plan to deploy solutions with artificial intelligence elements by 2026. Asseco is responding to this trend by developing its own products with AI elements for clients in the areas of public administration, healthcare, finance and utility solutions.
With a vision for the next decade
In the next decade, Asseco CE wants to strengthen its profile as a product and software company with its own solutions and stable recurring business. The goal is to provide clients with sustainable technological value and to be a partner in their digital transformation.
"Technology does not alienate us – on the contrary, if we use it wisely, it can bring us closer to what is really important: health, education, justice and access to services. This is the vision we want to build on for the next 35 years," concludes Klein.
