Asseco Central Europe Celebrates its 30th Anniversary on the Market

Bratislava, September 9, 2020: This year, Asseco Central Europe, the international software company, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in Slovakia. Over the past decades, the Company has seen exceptional growth; one of the most important software houses in Central and Eastern Europe has been built from a local startup.

Asseco CE is one of the leaders in the field of technological innovation, development of modern IT solutions in the digital field of banking and insurance, as well as a major provider of solutions in the segments of ERP, healthcare, Industry 4.0, utilities, and others. The Company implements demanding projects for the commercial sphere, as well as for the state administration and self-governments, based on many years of experience of its professional employees.

Company History

The history of the Company dates back to 1990, when the ASET Company was founded. In 1999, the software division was separated and ASSET Soft was established, which in 2004 formed a strategic partnership with the Polish Comp Rzeszów company, thereby laying the foundations for the global Asseco Group. In October 2006, the Company entered the Warsaw Stock Exchange under the name Asseco Slovakia and became the first Slovak company listed directly on a foreign stock exchange. In 2007, the Company entered the Czech market through the acquisition of PVT. In July 2009, the integration of Asseco Czech Republic and Asseco Slovakia took place, creating a Central European group, and both companies began operating under the name Asseco Central Europe. The Asseco CE Group currently employs more than 3,000 people in seven European countries, namely in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland (the ERP area only), Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The Company is a member of the global Asseco Group operating in 50 countries with more than 27,000 employees.
