Asseco won the ITAPA 2019 Award

22 Nov., Bratislava: The project called “eZdravie” (eHealth) is the winner of the ITAPA 2019 Award in the category The Best Slovak Society Digitization Project. The solution allows electronic sharing of medical records and creates an environment enhancing patient treatment safety. eRecept (ePrescription) is one of the most frequently used functionalities. The project has been implemented by Asseco in cooperation with subcontractors Beset, LeikTec, LYNX, and NESS Slovensko.

eZdravie has eliminated the obligation to print out medical findings and reports and introduced archiving of medical records in an electronic form accompanied by the advanced electronic signature. “eZdravie is an exceptional project with a society-wide reach and it not only increases the comfort of patients but it also enhances the safety of their treatment and helps improve the healthcare provided to them. We will continue extending of the scope of eZdravie services,” Jozef Klein, CEO of Asseco Central Europe, said.

The project guarantor is the National Health Information Centre. “I deem this project to be a great success, it has moved us to one of top positions within the European area – we are one of the countries that have such a system and it functions.” Peter Blaškovitš, Director General of the National Health Information Centre, said.

More than 17 thousand doctors have been using the system actively. Every day, 125 hospitals, which represents almost 70% of all medical institutions (hospitals, spa facilities, sanatoriums, etc.) access eZdravie together with more than 2 thousand pharmacies, which means almost 100% visitor rate as concerns pharmacies.
