Core banking system by Asseco is the IT project of the year 2016

Core banking system developed by Asseco for Českomoravská stavebná sporiteľňa was given the IT project of the year 2016 award.

The Czech Association of Technology Managers CACIO announced on March 23rd, 2017, the winning projects of the 14th year of the IT project awards. One of the winners was also the project “Core banking system by Asseco – StarBUILD” which was implemented for Českomoravská stavebná sporiteľňa (ČMSS).

Annually, this award consists of contestants whose projects are based on information and communication technologies (ICT) put into practice. Such projects are chosen based on their notability in user effect, technological solution or excellent method of managing the entire project.

The competition was held under the auspices of Pavel Bělobrádek, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Research, Minister of Industry and Trade, Jan Mládek, Deputy Minister for coordinating the section of Information and Communication Technologies, Jaroslav Strouhal, and the Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, Jan Bartoška.

On the occasion of winning the IT project of the year and the first anniversary of the final implementation for the customer, our solution received appreciation from Ing. Ivan Egyed, Director of Economics at ČMSS: “The implementation of StarBUILD contributed to the improvement and automation of accounting processes. That reflected in quality of database, speeding up processes, system parameterisation, and increased efficiency of accounting operations. System allows to respond flexibly to legislative changes in financial accounting and reporting sphere”.

As usually, the winner’s announcement took place at the social event “CACIO v Gala”, in the building of Autoklub ČR. The ceremony was attended by both organisers and project suppliers as well as political guests and representatives from business sphere.

The increasing prestige of the competition is underpinned not only by the rising number of contestants, but also by the significantly higher quality of projects in the final round. This year was Asseco represented by David Stoppani, COO CZ and Jaroslav Gašinec, Banking BU Director.
